Sustainable Agriculture

Vietnam has made significant progress in its agricultural sector over the last 25 years. This growth has helped Vietnam to emerge as a leading global exporter of agro-food commodities and has helped put Vietnam among the top five exporters for aquatic products, rice, coffee, tea, cashews, black pepper, rubber, and cassava. However, due to the high consumption of natural resources and high costs for production, the generation of waste and improper waste disposal has increased, leading to significant environmental pollution. GreenHub promotes sustainable agricultural production and livelihoods by providing evidence-based practices, business development training and support, and by connecting farmers to cooperatives and to national technical experts and resources.
