Recently, GreenHub collaborated with the Bac Tu Liem Women's Union to organize a training session on plastic waste recycling for its members. The training aimed to raise awareness about the characteristics of plastic waste generated in daily life, helping participants understand its advantages and disadvantages, thereby enabling households to proactively sort waste at the family level.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn from Nguyen Hong Nhung, the founder of Napoland – The Creative Handicraft Workshop. She guided them on designing and creating practical household items from single-use plastic waste—one of the most harmful types of waste impacting both the environment and human health.
The women of the Bac Tu Liem Women's Union enthusiastically embraced the chance to get creative with recycled materials, especially by making products useful for everyday family life. This aligns with GreenHub’s core message: turning waste into useful products and extending the lifecycle of plastic materials.
By the end of the training, more than 40 members from 13 wards had gained a deeper understanding of plastic waste and its environmental threats. Hopefully, each participant will adopt more sustainable habits, reduce their reliance on single-use plastics, and spread the message of creative recycling within their communities.
