E-motion – Miniseries Tach Nhua – EP 1 – Online shopping VS Environment: Convenient but harmful

Behind the freeship codes, free orders, and promotions of e-commerce platforms is a buck of plastic waste because pieces of tape, plastic bags, foam boxes, and plastic boxes,… are always thrown away after “unboxing”.

According to a survey by Lazada, more than 50% of consumers consider online shopping addictive, and nearly 60% of them said they will continue to shop online. As that continues, the number of plastic waste released into the environment will be even more serious. However, it is also undeniable that online shopping has contributed to 13.7 billion USD in revenue in 2021, in Vietnam (according to statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Trade 2022).

So how to hunt for online discounts while still being able to protect the environment? The answer will be available in the first episode of the Tach Nhua podcast series.
