“The direction for a sustainable journey out of poverty is to develop one’s own internal resources” – That is the central content of the “Development from Internal Strength” training program within the framework of the Project “Accelerating development Socio-economic development and multidimensional poverty reduction among ethnic minorities in Vietnam” is funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (Australian Aid), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in collaboration with Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Green Development Support Center (GreenHub).
Taking place on July 17 and 18, 2021 in Son La, the training program welcomed the participation of 20 representatives from 10 business units in Bac Yen district. In addition to acquiring knowledge around the topic of “Human resource development”, the attendees practiced the knowledge they had learned through interesting group games. Since then, topics such as “what is human resources?”, “what human resources are there”, “use human resources effectively”, have become closer to people in Bac Yen.
The program ended with the active participation of people along with always ensuring compliance with COVID-19 prevention measures. With the hope that people will understand the importance and methods of analyzing resources, we hope that people will apply the knowledge that they have learned to economic development activities and production labor of their enterprises. The final message that project staff want to convey and spread to the community is “The story of escaping poverty will not be far away if people understand and promote their own inner strengths. unite to develop the economy in the homeland”.
