People’s Committee of Phu Nhuan District (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Green Development Support Center (GreenHub) organized a training session “Instructions on waste classification and environmental communication skills” for nearly 100 environmental officers and unions in 13 wards on August 24 – 25.
At the training session, many experts, environmental officers and organizations actively shared information about the environment and classification of household solid waste, including plastic waste. The training session also provided knowledge about plastic and its impact on health, as well as built communication capacity for staff to spread green living values and inspire the community.
At the end of the training session, the organizing committee believes that the participants can apply the skills and knowledge learned from environmental protection activities and spread it widely in the social community.
This activity is under the Initiate: “Reducing plastic pollution and promoting extended producer responsibility (EPR) pilot in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City” in the period of 2022 – 2025, which is within the framework of the “Pollution Reduction” Project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), managed by Winrock International (Winrock) and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
