The project "For a Zero Waste Mekong River: Pilot Circular Economy model for Floating markets in Can Tho" achieved impressive results and received positive reviews from local people and authorities after one year of operation.

Through the organization of waste classification, collection and treatment activities, along with the implementation of pilot models for effective organic waste treatment, the Project has contributed to reducing water pollution caused by waste, with more than 338 tons of waste collected and treated effectively, contributing to improving the landscape and living environment of people in the Can Tho river area.
Mr. Pham Nam Huan, Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Can Tho City, highly appreciated the Project: "We see that the Project has achieved many commendable results. The project's activities have contributed to raising the community's awareness of environmental protection and improving the environmental quality in the Cai Rang Floating Market area, Son Islet - important tourist attractions of the city".

The Project has also actively cooperated with local authorities in proposing solutions to continue maintaining and expanding waste management and treatment models in the locality. At the Project Results Sharing Conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuy District People's Committee, expressed his determination to maintain the results of the Project: "The Project has solved the difficulties in collecting and transporting waste, and at the same time changed people's thinking and habits about waste treatment. These are extremely important supports for the environment and the life of the community. We commit that after the Project ends, we will continue to maintain the activities and spread the results of the Project".
