Have you ever imagined that discarded cans, bubble tea cups, sugarcane juice cups, or even instant noodle containers—items typically used only once and then thrown away—could be given a new life? These everyday waste items can be transformed into flower vases, bowls, decorative animals, and other creative ornaments.

Continuing the story of “giving waste a new life”, contributing to the journey of “Turning Waste into Blossoms,” and building on the success of recycling initiatives such as repurposing banners and brick-tying ropes implemented by the Ha Long Women’s Union, the Center for Supporting Green Development (GreenHub) continues to explore new ideas and models.

On December 8, GreenHub, in collaboration with the Ha Long Women’s Union, organized a training workshop for nearly 60 members of the Women’s Union. The session introduced ways to reuse single-use plastic products—items usually discarded immediately after use—to create artistic and practical products that can be used in everyday life. Through this process, waste materials are given a new life cycle.

Beyond the effort to reduce waste, GreenHub also hopes to convey a broader message: reduce consumption, minimize waste, and move toward greener, simpler lifestyles that are in harmony with nature.

GreenHub would like to sincerely thank Ms. Lan Anh – Co-founder of Lagreens Art Recycling Center for sharing her knowledge and accompanying us during this training session.
We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Ha Long Women’s Union for partnering with GreenHub in the mission of “building foundations and connecting communities to practice green living and green production,” and for working together toward the vision of “a greener Vietnam.”
