GreenHub is the coordinating organization to collect data on marine waste in Vietnam in the international marine waste research project "Quantifying plastic waste and other waste originating from land to the ocean" carried out in the period 2017-2019.

Microplastics (plastic pieces <5 mm in size) found the ocean are mistaken for food by marine life. this project, coordinated australia's csiro research organization, conducts world's largest pollution survey, involving many countries an effort to help them reduce amount of waste entering ocean. some leading polluters participating project china, bangladesh, indonesia, vietnam and united states; along with other including australia, south korea taiwan. support implementation “land-to-ocean survey training workshop” was held tong yeong, from june 15 19, 2017. workshop organized osean (our east asia sea network-korea), participation 19 representatives vietnam, taiwan korea, who were significant contributors. helps solve problem pollution. during process, trainees learn skills quantitative surveying plastic coastal areas, supplemented knowledge about challenge microplastic as existing environmental pollution.  < />>
